It was such a lazy Sunday in the sleepy village of Tarata I couldn’t be bothered to move my feet out the photo.
Right from the start, we had the idea of writing a blog while we were travelling. But then … well, we weren’t really travelling so we didn’t really write.
Now we’re travelling, or at least away from ‘home’ more, and now we feel like we have to have a blog. For family and friends. Just to give you a bit more detail than you get with a Facebook post. And some of you aren’t even on Facebook. Yes, you. You know who you are.
So this is it. You can click on ‘Where are we now?’ to see a map showing roughly where we are. The country at least. This could be useful – even to us – over the course of the next few weeks because…
We’re leaving Bolivia.
For a while.
We can only stay here for 90 days in a year. We’ve already been here for 40+ days, and we figured it would be better to split our time here, rather than cut it short. This depends mainly on what Leonie is doing here. And she’ll tell you about that some other time I’m sure. We don’t want to spoil you all with a big long first post. You might expect it every time. And that’s not going to happen.
So follow us whichever way suits you best. You can find an RSS link at the right side there, or enter your email address to get a reminder whenever we post something or just check back from time to time. We’ll also put up a mention on Facebook whenever we write a new post. But some of you won’t see that. Yes. You.
Meanwhile, take a look at the pics of our time so far in Bolivia.
Hope you are all well and will say hi in the comments. Even if we don’t know you.
Cheers for now,
Leonie and Jim

I don’t know Peter.
As for Rock Shandies, have not found them here yet, but we know them from S-Africa and Namibia. Maybe because it is not hot enough. Cochabamba is known for its eternal spring.
